What is Cropped?

Cropped is a desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux (Beta). It captures your screen, marks it up, trims and captions recordings, shrinks images and videos, and sends a link people can comment on. Images and videos are processed on your own computer.

How much does Cropped cost?

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Cropped Core is free forever, with no signup and no card, and every download includes 14 days of Pro. Nothing is charged when the trial ends.

Do people need an account to open a share link?

No. Anyone can open a Cropped share link in a browser and leave comments pinned to a spot on a screenshot or a moment in a video. Links expire after 30 days, or when you choose.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Captures, edits and optimizing all happen on your computer. Only what you choose to send as a share link is uploaded.

Which computers does Cropped run on?

Apple Silicon and Intel Macs on macOS 14 or later, 64-bit Windows 11, and the Linux Beta on Ubuntu 24.04 or later.

What is the Agent / LLM preset?

A Drop Zone preset for AI. It saves screenshots as WebP at up to 1280 px and half size, so AI chats and agents can still read every word while using far fewer tokens.
